Karolina Isaksson new professor at VTI
Karolina Isaksson has been appointed Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Sciences with a focus on transport policy and planning at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI). Within Mistra SAMS, she is a senior researcher and project manager.
“It’s very inspiring to get this new professorship that clarifies the importance of these research questions in the field of transport. It is an area of knowledge that contributes with important perspectives linked to, among other things, climate change, which puts our existing decision-making and planning systems under pressure. The research can contribute with knowledge about how Sweden's policy system and planning system work and what is important to strengthen in order to speed up a robust and sustainable transition,” says Karolina Isaksson in an interview on VTI.se.
